Intuit announced a partnership with SmartVault to deliver an integrated document management solution for Intuit® Lacerte® and Intuit® ProSeries®— two of the company’s professional tax preparation applications. According to the release "the pairing of these best-of-breed technologies automates tax preparation workflow—from receiving source files securely from clients to printing and sharing final tax returns with a built-in custom branded client portal."

According to the release the portal offers a robust document management capabilities built into Lacerte and ProSeries, custom branding for the firm, easy set up and automated email alerts are among some of the key benefits of this new partnership for Lacerte and ProSeries clients.
SmartVault will also offer a migration solution for current Lacerte and ProSeries DMS customers to migrate data from DMS to SmartVault. The process will be fully automated and include migrating documents and meta-data.
