Intuit
New QBES Pricing Models
Intuit has launched a new pricing model for QuickBooks Enterprise effective today, October 6, 2014. Intuit Resellers Program members are to begin implementation of this new model immediately; however, these changes only apply to NEW QuickBooks Enterprise customers.
Enterprise will now be sold only as an Annual Subscription model rather than the product with the Full Service Plan attached to it, but once again this will NOT affect existing QuickBooks Enterprise customers. New customers will NOT have a choice to purchase the software with FSP as in the past, only via the new Annual Subscriptions.
Three tiers are available for the new subscriptions, QuickBooks Enterprise Silver Edition, QuickBooks Enterprise Gold Edition, and QuickBooks Enterprise Platinum Edition (see the illustration for what is included).
Automatic version upgrades are included with the new Annual Subscriptions, this mean that the customer will get the latest version download delivered to them silently in their background. However, it is up to the user to decide when to install this new version.
I don't have any information about 'flexibility' in Pricing Models....for example, what happens if a customer needs Advanced Inventory but doesn't want Advanced Pricing? Or what happens if a customer needs Advanced Inventory and Advanced Pricing, but doesn't use QuickBooks Payroll at all?
