Leslie Capachietti instructs this 3-part workshop which provides in-depth coverage of Transaction Pro Importer and Exporter, diving deep into the advanced and hidden features of these products. While this workshop is recommended for existing users of Transaction Pro utilities, it is also suitable for anyone with a basic knowledge of TPI/TPE who “wishes” to expand their knowledge and skill set on these popular QuickBooks File-related Utilities. After all, this is “Disney, where ‘wishes come true’.”
Transaction Pro's importer’s interface provides a step-by-step approach and field-level mapping of your data. Quickly import data from virtually any source to QuickBooks as list or transaction data. Automatically adds new customers, vendors, jobs, items, and classes when importing transactions. Supports Excel, Access, databases or comma, tab, and delimited formats; you can also edit your data in a program grid before importing into QuickBooks.
With Transaction Pro Exporter you can easily search for transactions or lists, review or edit them in the program grid, then save the data into Excel using CSV or TAB delimited text formats. Choose the fields you need to export including their field names and sort order, even custom fields can be accessed. New in version 5.0 is advanced filtering and the ability to pull data from reports. You can use Transaction Pro Exporter in tandem with Transaction Pro Importer to move data from one QuickBooks file to another regardless of version.
