SurePrep and Thomson Reuters announced they have entered into a long-term, mutual integration agreement that benefits customers from both companies as well as the public accounting industry. Under the agreement, Thomson Reuters and SurePrep will provide open and royalty-free access to each other’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), enabling increased investment in product integration that ultimately benefits firms by streamlining and automating their workflows.
“We believe firms benefit most when they can select the software applications that best meet their needs and have those applications integrate, even if different vendors develop them,” says David Wyle, SurePrep CEO. “This is why we’ve entered into this agreement with Thomson Reuters. We want firms to know that when they use Thomson Reuters and SurePrep solutions, they can rest assured that the integration between those products will be maintained and improved and that the integration won’t cost them anything. It’s a completely customer-centric approach which makes sense to us because we believe our success ultimately comes from the success of our customers.”
The agreement benefits customers by enabling them to prepare returns quicker, maximizing their efficiency, and leveraging digitized data for advisory services.
“While some of our competitors are closing their APIs, we are opening ours up to new partners, like SurePrep, to help our customers work more efficiently,” said Elizabeth Beastrom, President of Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting Professionals. “We announced the partnership at our Thomson Reuters SYNERGY conference, and we are looking forward to working with SurePrep well into the future.”
