Editor's Note: February's editorial focus is on Time-tracking. Here, Murph takes a look at another time-tracking app. All told, he will be unveiling up to 60 articles for products that work with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
Timesheet Mobile is an all-in-one tool to manage your mobile staff. Its location sensitive solution triggers an alert when any employee enters or exits a geo-fenced job site and captures both the time and locations. The Timesheet Mobile smartphone app allows employees to see their schedules, punch-in or punch-out, complete checklists, share photos, view attached documents, and send instant messages to team members and managers.
- Geofence Auto-punch is built into the app. Employees can be punched in and out of job sites as they enter and exit geo-fenced locations during their scheduled hours.
- Drag and drop makes employee scheduling simple. Employees are sent notices of their schedules, as well as any changes.
- It is easy to schedule time off, and view accumulated sick time, vacation hours and holidays.
- It enables you to create checklists that employees checkoff during their shifts as work is complete. Get instant alerts when tasks are completed to ensure that assigned work gets done.
- Managers can receive real-time alerts related to overtime, Geofence violations, directive violations, punch prompts or late for shift incidents.
For workers who report to the same physical work location, you can configure a Timesheet Mobile Kiosk as a quick and easy way for them to log their hours using an on-site computer, tablet or smartphone. Using facial recognition, the app can utilize a forward-facing camera to verify the employee for purposes of punch-in and punch-out.
Timesheet Mobile integrates with QuickBooks. Once you connect your QuickBooks Online account to Timesheet Mobile, all data is automatically synchronized. You can import your electronic timesheets for payroll and invoicing.
For more details, check out the video here. You can find Timesheet Mobile listed in the QBO App Center here.
In addition, you can sync Timesheet Mobile to QuickBooks Desktop using the QuickBooks Web Connector. For more details regarding that process, see the following information in its Help Manual.
The Timesheet Mobile website is a good place to see how it works, including its COVID-19 Employee Screen App included in all Subscription Plans, as well as find out about its Free Trial.
