UDA's ConstructionOnline™ is a leading online construction management application designed for small- to medium-sized construction firms needing Estimating, Scheduling, and Project Management. The application also provides innovative Redline markup along with integrated Punchlists, RFIs, Change Orders, Logging and more.
Xero is a major cloud-based accounting application with significant market share in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom along with an expanding user-base within North America. Founded in New Zealand in 2006, Xero now serves over 1-million users worldwide.
Integrating ConstructionOnline with Xero creates a live connection between the two programs thereby eliminating redundant data entry and improving accuracy & efficiency. Integration with Xero includes automatic generation of contacts when projects are generated in ConstructionOnline, as well as automatic invoice generation and payment tracking for change orders generated in ConstructionOnline.
To integrate a UDA ConstructionOnline™ account with a Xero account:
- Navigate to Account Settings by choosing the gear icon in the top right hand corner of ConstructionOnline
- Select Accounting Integration from the drop-down menu
- Click the Connect to: Xero Accounting button
- Review Xero integration details and fees, click the checkbox to approve charges, and finalize by selecting Upgrade my Account
- You will then be prompted to enter your Xero Accounting login information, followed by the prompt to authorize Xero to share information with ConstructionOnline
To create a UDA ConstructionOnline™ Invoice in Xero:
- Log-in to your Construction Online account.
- Select the project you wish to invoice from the Projects list.
- Click 'Create Invoice' and select the customer if prompted.
- Select which estimate or change order you wish to invoice and sync with Xero.
- Choose the area(s) in the estimate or change order you wish to invoice.
- Select the percentage(s) of all chosen areas you would like to invoice.
- Include markups as needed for your invoice, if any.
- Click OK to create the invoice, the invoice will open in Xero when the process is complete.
