Vend, a retail Point-of-Sale (POS) software, inventory management, e-commerce and customer loyalty for iPad, Mac and PC, is introducing a series of product updates and enhancements just in time for the new year.

As as result of moving users to its new Sell screen, Vend has been making adjustments in response to user feedback, in order to make selling with Vend even easier. These changes include:

  • Updates to quick key folders – It’s now possible to change the behavior of quick key folders when creating a quick key layout. Vend retail users now can choose whether a folder stays open or closes after a sale.
  • SKU displaying in product searches – Removing SKU visibility from product searches has been problematic for some businesses, which is why retailers will be able to view them again with Vend's upcoming update.
  • Switching outlets and registers – Soon, switching an outlet or register with the new Sell screen will be super simple. Instead of resetting data, Vend retail users will be able to do this in a simple click from the Sell menu. This feature will be live to all Vend users by mid January.

Integrated Payments

Most retailers rely upon a merchant services arrangement of some type and would prefer one that integrates directly with their POS system. Vend soon will be able to offer a variety of integrated payment options to work with a retailer's chosen payment preferences and preferred rates.

Enhanced User Permissions

All too often, basic role assignments and limited user controls associated with other POS systems simply don't need the requirements of today's retailers. One user on one shift may need limited functionality during that assignment, but may require near full access when assigned to a different responsibility or location. Vend's Advanced User Permissions provide optimum staff permission flexibility while maintaining confidentiality, security and the proper delegation of duties. 

Vend E-commerce with Click & Collect

Retailers soon can choose to let their customers buy items online and pick them up in-store at their own convenience.

Vend's Click & Collect feature enables to select between "Ship to Me" and "Pick Up in Store" when completing online purchases.
