This 'Special Edition' of the QBO Monday Minute is to help make absolutely certain you are aware of the upcoming deadline for ProAdvisor Recertification. With all that is going on this year, and all the dates and calendar changes, we don't want you to miss this important deadline.
Recertification is the process whereby ProAdvisors are kept current with all the changes in the QuickBooks Ecosystem by virtue of the new certification content and Recertification Examinations. This year the recertification deadline is midnight, Pacific Time on August 31, 2020.
If you do not complete your recertification by this time, you'll be required to retake the full exam instead of the shortened version, which only tests your knowledge of what's changed in the product since your last certification.
Who Must Recertify:
Any ProAdvisor who passed the QuickBooks Online (Core or Advanced) Certification BEFORE November 1, 2019 MUST PASS the Re-certification Examination by not later than midnight (Pacific) on August 31, 2020 to maintain their certification status and benefits for the year.
Any ProAdvisor who passed either the QuickBooks Online (Core or Advanced) Certification ON or AFTER November 1, 2019 will NOT be required to complete re-certification during the '2020 Re-certification Window'.
Of course, QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor participants who are not certified, or who have previously allowed their certification to expire, may take the 'new' QuickBooks Online Certification at any time.
How to Recertify:
Get started by signing into your QuickBooks Online Accountant and go to the ProAdvisor tab to find the exam, as well as webinars and self-paced training to help you prepare today.
