This Wednesday's Insightful Accountant QB Talks is our quarterly 'App Neighborhood Watch'. Kelly G (aka Kelly Gonsalves, the founder and chief visionary of Totally Booked) and I will be discussing some new and exciting Apps that have come to our attention over the past few months, along with a few of our favorites.
We also will feature Gusto, one of our ProAdvisor of the Year/Top 100 ProAdvisor Sponsors. Gusto is payroll that’s easy to use and seriously smart…they provide everything you need working together seamlessly on one platform including health insurance, 401(k), workers’ compensation coverage, time tracking, and more. And with Gusto, your taxes aren’t just calculated correctly, they are filed automatically with the correct government agencies every time you run your payroll. But most importantly, Gusto was designed with people in mind, that’s why it’s called “The people platform…”
Speaking on behalf of Gusto will be Will Lopez, the Head of Gusto's Accountant Community. Will is an advocate for accountants, bookkeepers, and other advisors to consider new opportunities that aim to better serve client's and modernize firms. And so it makes perfect sense that Will should be with us to tell us about not only what he is doing at Gusto, but to give us a summary of Gusto, since it is Sponsors like Gusto that truly make the Top 100/ProAdvisor of the Year program possible.
One of the Apps that Kelly and I will be reviewing is the recent Intuit developed QuickBooks Online Sync with Etsy app, you might have seen it features in Liz's QBO Monday Minute yesterday. This is a great new 'FREE' app if you use Etsy for a small business sales channel because the app gives you a way to easily import each Etsy sale into QBO as a Sales Receipt with the fees added as expenses automatically.
Kelly has been itching to tell you all about Corpay One, an app that provides bill pay, with built-in smart scanning, expense, coding, and accounting sync to both QuickBooks Online and 'just out' QuickBooks Desktop. We know that a lot of you are always asking us if the apps we review also work with 'Desktop', well here is one that you will be interested in knowing is going to be fully Desktop compatible (currently in 'Beta').
You will just have to 'tune-in' to find out about the rest of the Apps that Kelly and I cover this month, but as always we will summarize several App's and show you screenshots, and discuss how you or your clients might use these Apps to their benefits. While we can hardly provide in-depth reviews of all the apps we cover, we will try to give you sufficient information to help you decide if you want to head over to the App's website and check-it-out yourself, or maybe take a test-drive if they offer you a 'free trial.'
