It seems QuickBooks Desktop 2024 is one of the best kept secrets around. Plenty of people are writing about "best guess'' feature and product changes, just the way they do with a new iPhone or Windows version is about to be released. One of the biggest of these rumors is... "Will there even be a QuickBooks Desktop for 2024?"
Obviously, if the later rumor were true, I wouldn't be planning on telling you all the secrets I know about QuickBooks Desktop 2024 at our next "QB Talks," Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 at 2 p.m. (EST).
I'm going to spill the beans during "QB Talks" about all the new features and functionality of the latest QuickBooks Desktop and Enterprise software for 2024. There is one caveat: "Just as long as Intuit has lifted the embargo or released the new versions."
As of today, only Intuit knows when QuickBooks Desktop 2024 will be released.
But at this time of year, everyone looks forward to Intuit releasing the newest QuickBooks Desktop versions. It is kind of like welcoming that first fireplace you smell burning wood on a crisp fall morning. It could even be akin to that first crack of the bat at Game 1 of the World Series. All three are perfect reflections of a season of change.
I'm counting on the official release of Desktop on or before next Wednesday, Oct. 20, to bring in a season of change, based on "what's behind the three Intuit curtains"
Last week, on Sept. 6, Intuit opened Curtain No. 1 by announcing "Intuit Assist" being incorporated into QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mail Chimp and Credit Karma.
This week, Intuit opened Curtain No. 2, announcing "QuickBooks Money," banking and payment accounts for any small business without needing to be linked to QuickBooks or another Intuit subscription product.
So, I'm hopeful and expecting (okay confident), Intuit will open Curtain No. 3 and reveal QuickBooks Desktop 2024 by next Wednesday.
Once that occurs, I'll tell you all the secrets I've been ready to explode in shouts about Desktop Plus 2024 and Enterprise v24.
