Some people have reported that they have had issues with their Recertification Exam freezing up when they hit the 'Submit exam' button. In fact, I myself had the same thing happen to me. I had a single 'circle' and then 'nada' it just froze-up.

Well the worst thing you can do is 'close your browser', or force it to close... stay away from that CTRL_ALT_DEL key thingy. What you can do is either call ProAdvisor Support at 1-888-333-3451 and wait for the appropriate period of time, regardless of your level of support, after you have responded to all the dumb computer generated questions.... or you can try this while you wait for them to finally answer you call.
Hopefully you were using 'Chrome' in the first place, you have only been told about a gazillion times that Chrome is the preferred browser for QuickBooks Online. Well click your mouse on the menu icon in the upper right, it's those three vertical dots as highlighted in the box shown in the screen below.

Now select the option to open a 'New incognito window.'

Then just go ahead an log-in to 'qbo.intuit.com' from the new incognito window. Yes, I know that you are logging in again to QBO even though it seems your current session is still open to your exam.

Now just go ahead and proceed right back to your exam, by going to ProAdvisor, then Training and Take Exam as if you were starting over. But it should take you right back to the same window where your 'Submit exam' button is still sitting there and this one should be active.
Go ahead and try submitting your exam again via this 'Incognito' log-in, chances are it will work this time and you will almost immediately get notified that you either 'Passed' or 'Didn't' (if you didn't pass that's your problem, not the exams, well it might be the exam depending on the exam, some of them have some irregularly worded questions).
Even though you hit 'Submit exam' twice (the time it froze and this time through incognito), it's still the same 'Attempt # of 3' whether it works or not. If it doesn't work then your still on the phone waiting on ProAdvisor support, if it does work, then you can go ahead and print your Certificate and "feel free to 'hang up on them' for once" because I am betting you have at least been disconnected by them once in your entire ProAdvisor career and had to call them back and put back on hold a second time.
So whether you are taking Recertification examinations, the new QuickBooks Desktop exam, QuickBooks Online Advanced or Core examinations, or the new QuickBooks Enterprise examination, best of luck to you... I hope you don't have 'submit freeze-up problems', but if you do you might try this rather than wait, wait, wait. Either way, good luck on ALL YOUR EXAMS!
