Believe it or not, Scaling New Heights is not ‘just another’ accounting conference, at least not if you are using or supporting the QuickBooks line of products. If you are a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, then Scaling is the ‘place to be.’
When it comes training for ProAdvisors there is more product specific topics, more-in depth coverage, and more opportunities to prepare for certification at Scaling than any at other place on the planet.
Need to get ready for Advanced Certification in either QuickBooks Desktop or Online, you will find an extended preparation course taught by the highest caliber instructors anywhere who will guide you in not only the content, but the ‘how to’ take the examinations.
What about training for QuickBooks Enterprise, including those newest Advanced Inventory features using mobile scanners? Scaling will offer the first-ever live courses offered since the new product’s release. Once again, taught by leading instructors who not only understand the product, but understand how to use it in real-world situations.
Looking for in-depth understanding of those problems you have been having with QuickBooks Desktop products like workstation connectivity, performance declines, or data corruption? Scaling New Heights is the only place you will find specialized courses that look deep into the ‘core’ of QuickBooks Desktop and give you the what, why and how to resolve answers you have been needing.
And what about QuickBooks Online? There must be more than just subscribing and entering your data, right? At Scaling New Heights, you will not only find courses that teach you different Apps that work with QBO for specific purposes, but classes that teach you how Apps should work, and what happens when they don’t work properly. There will even be classes that explain how to resolve your QBO problems at a depth of knowledge that ProAdvisors really need to know. After all, you are way ahead of Intuit’s standard instruction of “just log-off, and log-back in again.”
Then there are all the classes on practice management and practice development taught by some of the leading experts ‘in the world’. If it’s the ‘future of the profession’ you are concerned about, Joe Woodard himself will be teaching you how to tame the technological advancements of machine learning and artificial intelligence that seemingly are out to ‘take over’. You will learn how to leverage these technologies to increase efficiency and give you a competitive advantage in the marketplace. At the same time learn how to transcend these technologies by doing what only ‘humans’ can do, and what we do best.
To learn more about the various course offers keep an eye out for our continuing Scaling New Height Primer series that focuses on courses and their instructors. Each article is designed to not only inform you of the course content, but give you a little tease to help entice you into registering for that class.
While Scaling is all about learning, there are more ways to learn than by attending classes. Another great way to learn is ‘from the source’, and by source, I mean ‘Intuit’ and Intuit Personnel. Not just ‘sales personnel’ even though there will be a few of them on the Exhibit Hall floor, but actual ‘Product Managers’ and ‘Product team members’. You can actually visit with the people who design and make the products we all love to use, and even pass along suggestions about enhancements.
Intuit will not be the only vendor in the Exhibit Hall. There will be more than 100 ‘someones’ you should visit regarding their QBO Apps or QB Desktop software solutions, and other services. Needing to find an alternative solution? There will be some good ones represented. How about a time or expense tracking App? probably a half-dozen or more. Looking for an easy-to-follow business step-plan, probably no less than a handful of business-plan-for-success specialists. And yes, the Insightful Accountant booth will one of the places you can visit 'with me' during the conference, at least part of the time.
Insightful Accountant will be providing you with a series of ‘Vendors to See’ articles, starting later this week. We will group the vendors into categories by type of software or service. So, if you are looking for only one category our articles will help you easily identify who to visit on the exhibit floor.
Of course, one of the very best, if not the best, reason for attending is the ‘networking’ you will experience when more than 1000 of your colleagues will be in attendance in an atmosphere that is just right for meeting new friends and getting reacquainted with old ones. You will have plenty of opportunities for social interactions over conferences breakfasts and lunches, as well as break time and hosted happy hours or after-parties. Many of the vendors provide ‘come one, come all’ events in the evenings, and some have private gatherings for their current or soon-to-be customers.
So, if you haven’t signed-up for the ‘QuickBooks time-of-your-life’ then you need to go ahead and register for Scaling New Heights 2018 today. Atlanta is a fun place for a conference, and it will be even more fun if you are there to have fun with the rest of us. Together, let's make this the biggest and best Scaling New Heights EVER ! ! !
