Woodard is hosting: "Is QuickBooks Desktop Dead?" No, it's not a 'Wake' and it's not a 'Funeral', but it is a Webinar that Joe Woodard is conducting about the future of QuickBooks Desktop on February 6, 2020 at 1 PM Eastern Time (12 noon Central, 11 am Mountain, 10 am Pacific).
QuickBooks Desktop boasts over 4 million users globally and enjoys a mature feature set that is the culmination of decades of product development. Why, then, would Joe even ask such an inflammatory question like “Is QuickBooks Desktop Dead?”
Joe's question isn’t about the capabilities or prevalence of QuickBooks Desktop. Joe's question, and his exciting new webinar, speaks to the relevance of QuickBooks Desktop in a post desktop world (i.e. a cloud world). He could ask the same question in a different way: “What is the Relevance of QuickBooks Desktop in the Cloud Age?”
The answer to this question, however we phase it, is of paramount importance to both QuickBooks Desktop users and the accountants who support these businesses in their use of QuickBooks Desktop.
During this webinar Joe and his expert panelists will cover:
- The economic viability of QuickBooks Desktop for Intuit and its shareholders
- An analysis of Intuit’s investment in QuickBooks Desktop, including product development, marketing and channel empowerment
- Two, Five and Ten-year projections by Woodard on the future of QuickBooks Desktop
- …and more!
For more details see the Woodard webinar website.
While the webinar was originally set for January 23rd, mitigating circumstances required a 'date change', the webinar is now being held on February 6, 2020 at 1 PM Eastern Time (12 noon Central, 11 am Mountain, 10 am Pacific). (Note, if you were previously registered for the webinar on January 23rd, your registration was automatically advanced to the February 6th date by the 'Woodard Team', you remain registered for the webinar on the new date.)
Hey, personally I think QuickBooks Desktop is far from dead... for each fiscal quarter for every year past, the QuickBooks Desktop Ecosystem has outperformed the QuickBooks Online Ecosystem when it comes to the 'almighty dollar', at least that's what the Intuit shareholder reports continue to reflect. Now does that sound dead to you? Not even close... and that's "my two cents." (Murph)
