You cannot build a premium priced firm on wobbly beliefs. If you do not believe in your value, your pricing will rat you out every time.
Most accountants skip the belief work. They run to new pricing models, shinier proposals, prettier packages. Then a prospect says, "That seems high," and boom, there goes 20 percent That is not negotiation. That is self-doubt with a calculator.
This class is where we fix that.
Your manifesto is your line in the sand.
- What you believe about clients, value, pricing, and your own worth.
- What you say yes to.
- What you will not tolerate anymore.
In this session, you will drag your real beliefs into the light. Not the polished stuff you post on LinkedIn. The honest, slightly uncomfortable truth about what you think you deserve.
Because unclear beliefs create inconsistent pricing. Inconsistent pricing attracts wrong fit clients. Wrong fit clients create resentment. And resentment is you in the kitchen at 9 pm asking, "Why did I start this firm?"
You will walk away with:
• A personal manifesto across 5 core belief areas
• A North Star document to guide decisions for the next 18 months
• A short, spicy list of "I will not tolerate this anymore" rules
This is foundation work. The part nobody teaches you and everybody needs.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand what a manifesto is (and why you need one)
- Define the difference between mission statements (corporate BS) and manifestos (your line in the sand)
- Recognize how unclear beliefs lead to inconsistent pricing, bad clients, and resentment
- Identify the 5 core areas every firm owner must have conviction about
- Discover what you actually believe about value, pricing, and worth
- Examine the stories you tell yourself about why you can't charge more
- Distinguish between market reality and your fear wearing facts as a costume
- Articulate what you're unwilling to tolerate anymore (clients, behaviors, pricing models)
- Create your North Star document
- Write your beliefs raw and unfiltered (not LinkedIn-ready)
- Establish your non-negotiables that guide every business decision
- Build the filter that helps you say yes to the right things and no to everything else
