QB Talks December: Intuit Accountant Suite’s ‘Books Close’ at Year-end
Speakers: William Murphy & Anusha Natarajan of Intuit
Sponsor: Kendrick Hair and Cara Tomich from Fishbowl
Join us on December 17, 2025, at 2 PM EST for a QB Talks session focused on preparing and closing year-end books using the new Books Close feature in the Intuit Accountant Suite. We will cover the essential steps for reviewing books, balancing accounts, preparing year-end reports, and helping to make your QuickBooks Online client data tax-preparation ready.
Books Close is currently in Beta and available to IAS users at no additional cost. It introduces several enhanced tools, including a Close Dashboard, customizable workflows, AI-powered anomaly detection, auto-updates across each client’s QuickBooks file, templates, and a built-in tracker to monitor progress. Books Close also allows you to review and close client books without opening each QBO file individually.
This session will demonstrate how the Books Close feature identifies coding issues, irregularities, and variances in key accounts, helping you deliver a more accurate and efficient year-end close.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify differences between the Books Close (Beta) feature and existing Books Review tools in QBO-Accountant or IAS Core.
- List the core functionalities available within the Books Close feature.
- Select transactional review areas that Books Close can identify through its AI-powered review process.
