This week, we’ll be spotlighting Vic Madeira, President of ACS, Inc. Madeira spends his day in a variety of roles. “I’ll begin by attacking my inbox for the most critical emails, then meet with bookkeepers to track progress and priorities. Jump into meetings as scheduled with clients. Head out to onsite appointments. Then I start planning my next few days,” he told us.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made the in-person meetings sparce, but that definitely doesn’t mean less work. Madeira said the impact of the pandemic has made him busier than ever. But with the help of new technology and tools, they’ve managed to keep track of it all. “Zoom of course, has been a game changer – can’t live without it,” Madeira said. “We’re also in the middle of implementing ClickUp to manage projects, which has been a helpful addition.”
To keep up with the newest technology available and best practices, staying on top of training and continuing education is crucial. Madeira told us he uses webinars as one of his main sources of training, “Lots of webinars, from Facebook groups and Insightful Accountant.”
Looking into 2021, Madeira plans to expand their CFO consulting and bookkeeping practice. “We need to find a way to be less stressed but more productive,” he shared with us. Which I think a lot of us can relate to. He continued, “We expect our clients to be happy that they have us as a resource. If we don’t succeed at that, we must try harder.”
