Damien Greathead
As of February 5th (2020) Damien Greathead, who has contributed numerous features to Insightful Accountant on a wide variety of topics, has transitioned from his position as Vice President of Global Accountant's Programs and Customer Marketing for Receipt Bank to the Head of Marketing at Practice Ignition. There are very few of our readers who are not familiar with Damien, and who have not spoken with him, or had the opportunity to hear him make a presentation at one of the major accounting conferences over the past several years.
Damien is totally aware of the demands of a rapidly growing tech company having served seven years as Director of Operations at 2020 Group USA overseeing their membership and brand growth in the US among small and medium sized accounting firms.

Damien then was chosen to represent Receipt Bank in their Business Development efforts within North America. During this time, he significantly expanded the interest of accountants and bookkeepers in the efficiency which Receipt Bank's workflow could bring to both them and their clients. For close to a year prior to joining Practice Ignition, Damien's role with Receipt Bank had been expanded to encompass a 'global' small to medium sized accounting firm emphasis as Cloud-enabled accounting and bookkeeping has been expanding around the world and so too has Receipt Bank's outreach in area not previously serviced.
With the experiences of 2020 Group and Receipt Bank in his background Damien will now turn his attention to the both the expansion and acceleration of Practice Ignition funded via their A$26M Series B round led by Tiger Global Management last September (2019). As part of that funding the company committed to building deeper relationships with the rapidly expanding global customer base. Practice Ignition also committed to accelerating enhancements to the platform that would help accountants and bookkeepers solve critical challenges in serving their clients while at the same time saving time and money.
Having had the pleasure of working with Damien in the past, and the folks at Practice Ignition, in terms of both webinar and content production as well as sponsorships, this sounds like a good match. Insightful Accountant would like to extend our very best to Damien in his new position, as well as Practice Ignition in their global growth and product development efforts.
