I'm not saying you have to go to conferences to be awesome, but the experience defiantly ignites growth, sparks enthusiasm and builds relationships with encouraging like-minded people.
"Scaling New Heights" is one of my favorite events of the entire year. I love connecting with my peeps. I love hearing about how their practices are going.
I love the interaction with the app vendors where I specifically can ask about their product and hop from booth to booth to make sure I completely understand what the technology is, and if it will or will not fit my needs.
Getting one-on-one handshakes with the members of those apps makes me feel like I can be the expert in delivering my opinion to QuickBooks users.
It's one more thing that makes me a ProAdvisor expert.
If you're were not at this year's conference, and have not attended conferences like this, I encourage you to seek out the next one in your local area. Even if it's not a conference that's the size of "Scaling New Heights," you should be engaging with others like you.
It's like the old saying, “You are who your friends are.”

Being at these events means having the opportunity to hang out with people who are extraordinary in their talents, their visions and their willingness to share with others. I am happy to hold on to that and be a part of that awe-inspiring group.

When you attend one of these conferences I encourage you to say hi to everyone you meet, especially me. I'd love to have a chance to sit down with you to become new best friends, and if you're already among my friends I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see you again.
Unfortunately I only get to see some friends once a year at one conference or another. We might email back and forth or Twitter throughout the year but to actually see their face it may be only once or twice a year when I get to actually look them in the eyes and that interaction is so special and important to me.
The knowledge and the takeaway that I get from these conferences cannot be measured and I say that with a full heart and mind that I feel better connected to my everyday practice because of being strong with my peer group and in my knowledge of the technology including applications we use in our firm.
Bottom line, Scaling New Heights 2017 rocked in every sense of the word! I can hardly wait till Scaling New Heights 2018.
