Do you know what the business landscape will look like next year? Five years? How about 10 years down the road. Sage decided to ask a panel of 17 HR and people experts to name their biggest trends in the decade ahead.
What they uncovered was the five biggest HR trends and insights that every HR leader will need to know today to get ahead by 2030. In a business landscape where everything changes before you nail down the last change, getting ahead is a prerequisite.
Sage's "HR in 2030" report highlights myriad expert perspectives on the future of HR, including progressive HR leaders, analysts, academics, authors and recognized experts from around the world. Here is some of what they uncovered:
- Flexible and Hybrid Working — Diverse workstyles like hybrid and variable working (e.g., a four-day week) are likely to be the norm
- Agile HR — People teams will adopt agile methodologies, in a similar way to that deployed by software engineering to experiment and test new strategies and policies
- People Analytics — Predictive analytics will become routine, as HR professionals feel more confident using future looking actionable insights to inform business decision-making
- The Great Admin Liberation — HR teams will free up over a third of their time to redesign and re-architect the worksphere, as they tap into the power of advanced automation, AI, and the Internet of Things
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) — Future-focused organizations will benefit from broadening the definition of DEI beyond considerations such as gender identity, ethnicity and people with disabilities, to include diversity of personality, emotional intelligence, wider experiences, more appetite for risk, the ability to adapt, as well as thinking differently and neurodiversity
