Some time ago Intuit made the decision to discontinue the Intuit Sync Manager which provided a method to securely sync your QuickBooks (desktop) Company-file data with 3rd party applications and some Intuit add-on services. On Tuesday of this week we posted an article by Dawn Scranton in which she reminded readers of the pending deadline. We are running this article on the same topic because if you are not prepared, you are going to have a lot of additional busy work right in the middle of "busy season".
Intuit has indicated that there are other solutions available and that they have been working with developers so you can continue to use many of your cloud based applications without relying upon Intuit Sync Manager.
Sync Manager will no longer be available on March 1st, 2016 to 3rd party (i.e. non-Intuit) applications. Many 3rd party developers have provided, or are in the process of providing, a solution for you to continue to use their app.
Effective May 31, 2016 Intuit Sync Manager for Desktop will no longer be available for Intuit applications.
Intuit has provided the following list of impacted or potentially impacted solutions along with the related Developer and contact information (where available). You are encouraged to review this list. If you or your clients are using any of these applications, you should contact the Developer in regard to any changes and/or other requirements that may apply.
