Intuit has announced a new Account Management program aimed at helping QuickBooks users who display complexity and a strong growth trajectory to get the right level of support.
This could include QuickBooks customers who are clients of your Accounting or ProAdvisor practices.
In announcing the program Intuit said their... 'account managers understand the vital role (Accountants and ProAdvisors) play in your clients’ financial strategy, and they expect their program to supplement ongoing work between you and your clients.'
The primary goal of this program is to be a partner who deeply understands the software needs of growing businesses, including accounting, payroll, benefits, payments, bill pay, and more.
If your clients are regularly working in QuickBooks and managing their own books, here are specific ways in which account managers can help by providing a 'single point of contact', the ability to 'get issues resolved faster', and also providing 'personalized guidance'.
These new QuickBooks Account Managers will begin to reach out to customers, some of whom may be your clients. These Account Managers will communicate the program benefits and offer their expertise to help your clients get the most out of their QuickBooks connected tools—so that they are positioned to grow and scale their business.
Insightful Accountant is advising you of this program so that you can begin reaching out to your clients as well... you may want to let your clients know they may begin getting calls from these new QuickBooks Account Managers. You and your clients might wish to discuss how you see this new program fitting into your business relationship before they get contacted.
While the exact criteria for this new program was not released; in announcing it, Intuit did say that if "you have a client with $3 million in annual revenues or that has multiple entities" that might make them a fit for this new Account Management Program. Based on this information you can probably ascertain for yourself the caliber of clients Intuit is looking to select for this new offering.
The announcement also provided an opportunity for you, as an Accountant or ProAdvisor to schedule a meeting to discuss this new program and your clients who might qualify for it.
We here at Insightful Accountant assume you can probably learn a lot more about this new program by scheduling such a meeting... "kind of like getting the coach's 'game plan' ahead of the game being played."
