It was announced Friday (8/9/19) that Jennifer Warawa, Executive Vice President of Partners, Accountants and Alliances for Sage, a role she has held since 2017, will depart the company on August 23 to pursue a challenge outside the industry. Warawa has held various level executive roles with the company since 2008 including positions in both the North American and Global management teams. In her most recent position she was the company's chief liaison with accountants and partners to try to develop closer ties between the company and not only those professionals but the clients they served.
As a thought leader Warawa is not only a frequent speaker at major conferences and industry events, but she has also been repeatedly recognized as one of Accounting Today's Top 100 Most Influential People, and as one of AICPA/CPAPA's Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Accounting.
Simultaneous with the announcement of Warawa's departure, Sage announced that Dewey Forrester, VP of Strategic Alliances, would assume the role of Interim Executive Vice President of Partners, Accountants and Alliances.
Warawa's departure is yet another departure in the company's administrative structure following last year's departure of CEO Stephen Kelly. Currently, Steve Hare, the company's CFO is also serving as Interim CEO.
