If not for his wife, there is no telling what Jamie Siminoff might be doing these days. A lifelong inventory, Jamie created the world’s first Wi-Fi video doorbell while working in his garage in 2011. By the way, when he told his wife what he was working on, she loved it…in fact she said it would be like, “caller ID for the front door.”
Jamie is a successful entrepreneur whose little invention is today known as ‘ring’ around the world and is the centerpiece of his company product line that is geared toward reducing crime in neighborhoods. With affordable, simple to install and use solutions that work on any home, Ring is committed to smart security for everyone, letting you stop crime before it happens.
During his main-stage presentation at QuickBooks Connect, Jamie will discuss how he turned his passion into a billion-dollar enterprise.

A simple conversation with his neighborhood dentist and a suggestion that he use "the cheapest electric toothbrush available" to fight the common, and damaging, habit of brushing too hard, led Simon Enever to the realization that all the years of toothbrush innovation had hardly improved brush technology while overshadowing the realities of poor dental hygiene.
Simon set out to develop a user focused toothbrush design that would focus on the basics and provide users with products that were best for their teeth above all else. Simon's quest became an international sensation and Time magazine's Product of the Year.
During his main-stage presentation at QuickBooks Connect, this industrial designer, toothbrush innovator, and founder and CEO of 'quip' will take us through his journey "of developing not only a better, but the best toothbrush around." (Those are my words, not his. Murph)
QuickBooks Connect is all about connecting and each day has a different connection focus. November 5 is 'Accountant Day' with more than twenty breakout sessions providing a great opportunity for accountants to connect with product managers and third-party App developers. November 6 is the 'Main Day' at which accountants, developers, small business owners and students are there to learn from others like themselves, as well as the experts. In addition to the main-stage presentations there will be more than thirty breakout sessions. November 7 is the 'Accountant Finale' with a dozen additional breakout sessions and the 'wrap-up final main stage' event.
