In an interview with Joe Woodard, Rich Preece, Senior Vice President and U.S. Country Manager, QuickBooks at Intuit, told Joe that QuickBooks Live is one way that Intuit is attempting to "engage ProAdvisors to bridge the talent pool of the professional bookkeeping community and undeserved small business demographic." ('that demographic being the small businesses using QBO in need of bookkeeping support but not prepared to engage a professional bookkeeper...').
This interview took place during a series of Town Hall sessions conducted by the Woodard Companies involving hundreds of ProAdvisors who where concerned about the early reports of beta testing of QuickBooks Live. Last week, Intuit announced an additional round of testing of their QuickBooks Live experiment (my words, not Intuit's) and posted an announcement concerning such beta testing in both Social Media and their Firm of the Future Blog.
Intuit made a number of specific details available concerning both the past and current tests in their blog post which you can find here. You will also find FAQs about the QuickBooks Live test straight from Intuit. As such, we recommend that every ProAdvisor avail themselves of the Intuit announcement and those details.
While there has been a lot of 'hype' and 'fake news' in social channels about this issue, Insightful Accountant will continue to do our very best to share 'factual information' regarding QuickBooks Live with you as it is made available to us in the future.
