SafeSend, an end-to-end solution for tax and accounting professionals, has been acquired by Thomson Reuters for $600 million in cash.
The software solves key pain points for customers and their clients, driving efficiency and automation and will automate the 'last mile' of the tax return workflow including taxpayer e-signature and delivery.
SafeSend helps eliminate time-consuming tasks and manual steps, freeing up time for firms to spend on higher value tasks, such as advisory. Since 70% of the country's top 500 accounting firms already use SafeSend technology, the acquisition advances Thomson Reuters' vision of further simplifying both tax preparer and taxpayer workflows.
