We were originally scheduled to end the 'application process' for this year's competition, Monday, March 25 2019 at 23:59:59 (that's 11:59:59 PM) tonight; however, we have had several nominees advise us that this year's 'tax season' has been extremely complex and time consuming and that they simply have not had ample opportunity to devote attention to getting everything they needed to complete their application.
In addition, we recognize that Intuit has made several changes in certifications and certification training, as well as continuing education requirements, even since we began the application process, and this has resulted in some 'confusion' for some of our applicants and we had to provide additional clarification regarding those matters.
We want to make certain that everyone has the opportunity to take advantage of some of the recent changes and training offerings prior to an 'extended deadline' in order to potentially enhance your individual standings via training and/or new certifications Intuit is offering. We therefore encourage you to participate in upcoming training Intuit is offering which in fact is reflected in training and certification credentials reflected in 'our' application forms.
As a result, the 'application process' will now end on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 23:59:59 (11:59:59 PM). We will NOT be extending the application deadline beyond April 24, so be certain to finish up any current certifications the new re-certifications and then complete your formal application prior to the new deadline of April 24th.
Be advised, nominees who have NOT completed their application (either short-form for 2017 or 2018 Top 100 winners, or long-form for everyone else) will NOT be considered for the this year's awards, regardless of 'nomination' status, or 'voting participation' (including number of ballots received). Please also remember, everyone has the option of completing the 'long-form' even if you were recognized in the 2017 or 2018 Top 100, if you feel that it is to your advantage to complete the long form to clarify or enhance your standing by providing new or clarified information.
