Editor's Note: While this article will be featured in Tuesday, August 6th's Headlines within the US, it has been published early enough to appear late morning for our Oceania readers, who are primarily impacted by this issue.
Insightful Accountant has been made aware of the fact that some Intuit countries (or regions) have (or had) issues with including the most recent certification date on QuickBooks ProAdvisor certifications when issuing re-certification certificates.
For example, a ProAdvisor might have been issued their original QuickBooks (Core) ProAdvisor certificate in September of 2023 and would have been required to obtain re-certification by June 30, 2024. On June 24, 2024, they passed the re-certification examination for QuickBooks (Core) ProAdvisor and were issued a new certification; however, their new certificate still reflects their original September 2023 date, not the actual re-certification date.
Obviously, this is a problem with the issuing Intuit Country or Region, and it is beyond the control of the ProAdvisor or Insightful Accountant.
To address this problem for our International ProAdvisor Award applicants, Insightful Accountant has modified the application form to try to eliminate the potential for 'certification mismatch' or 'certificate rejection' errors and the 'automated' disqualification notice for those Intuit Countries or Regions outside the United States (primarily in the Asia-Pacific region including Oceania) where we are aware of this problem. However, this same problem might exist for other Intuit Countries or Regions we are unaware of.
This does NOT preclude the International ProAdvisor Award applicant from being required to upload their most current Certification 'certificate,' regardless of the actual date appearing on that certificate.
To ensure successful proof of certification, including the upload requirement, applicants should follow the steps exactly as outlined when providing the most current certification information.
(1) Report the most current date you actually were certified or re-certified for any of the three International Certifications (shown below) meeting the minimum requirements. Your most current date reported must NOT be before 11/1/2023, regardless of what your certificate shows.
(2) You must report the Intuit Country or Region issuing your most current certification (or re-certification) date. This is 'critical' to bypassing a possible "certificate date" mismatch or "certificate rejection" error.
(3) You must upload your most current certification or re-certification certificate (as shown below) regardless of the actual date shown on the certificate.
If you follow these three steps properly, you shouldn't encounter problems reporting minimum certificate requirements or uploading an 'accepted' certificate.
If you live in an area where this same problem exists and we have not yet been informed of that matter for your Intuit Country or Intuit Region, please advise me, and we will make another adaptation to the application form algorithm matching certification dates with certificate dates.
Should you encounter a problem of the type described herein, please contact me at the email listed on 'Page 1 - Instructions' of your International ProAdvisor Application form.
