Here is the fourth in my "Getting Ready for Top 100" series and the second in my training mini-series.
As I mentioned in Part 1 of this series, training is an area that can yield high point totals for our applicants, primarily when that training is directly related to the QuickBooks® ecosystem.
That type of training does not come from Intuit exclusively—there are lots of other sources. For example, Insightful Accountant offers our monthly "QBTalks" webinar, which is geared toward QuickBooks®.
Some months, the webinar focuses on QuickBooks Online, others examine QuickBooks Desktop. Sometimes, the webinars hone in on other aspects of the ecosystem, like apps or third-party software that work with QuickBooks®.
Intuit’s own "In the Know – QuickBooks Online Monthly Update" webinar is another valuable source of training. You can get related hours by participating in it.
Insightful Accountant recognized other similar webinar series as sources of education on QuickBooks® that can provide valuable training hours directly applicable to points for Top 100 and ProAdvisor of the Year.
You definitely will find the "QB PowerHour" with Michelle Long and Dan Delong, and the "Advanced QB Webinars" by Hector Garcia listed in our application form. These are training opportunities where you can report your 2022 attendance for training credits as part of our 2023 Top 100 Awards process.
Conferences are another valuable training resource. For example, how many of you "scaled new heights" this past summer by attending Joe Woodard’s THRIVE-themed conference? There were many opportunities to earn significant credit hours related to the QuickBooks® ecosystem.
For those of you who are ProAdvisors primarily focused on QBO, you hopefully had the opportunity to pick up some training credits for some of the following sessions:

So, whether you are a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, a QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisor, a US ProAdvisor or a Canadian ProAdvisor, when it comes time to work on that Top 100 ProAdvisor Application this year, don’t forget where you were over the past year. The various webinars you participated in, or the conference sessions you attended either in-person or on-line (virtual), are all important.
If you can document your attendance, feel free to report it. Chances are we will have all of the various offerings listed in our application. If not, we always provide you with an opportunity to list additional training resources we missed.
By the way, for our International QuickBooks ProAdvisor friends Down Under, hopefully you will be participating in one or more QuickBooks Roadshow events in 10 Aussie cities starting Nov. 8 and wrapping-up with a virtual session on Dec. 1.
Looks like there will be plenty of opportunities to learn about the ProAdvisor Program, QuickBooks Online-Accountant, QBO for your clients, QuickBooks Tax, QuickBooks Payroll, and much more.
You will not only be able to receive 4 CPD points by attending, but also valuable training hours that will count toward your international ranking within Insightful Accountant's Top ProAdvisors when you complete your application.
