A word from Murph:
As the Administrator of the ProAdvisor of the Year and Top 100 ProAdvisor Awards process, I have the distinct pleasure of reviewing hundreds of nominations and applications each year. I also have the task of tackling our complex scoring system, which measures the criteria established for each of our categories against the application data all of those ProAdvisors submit.
While all of this is a highly complex set of algorithms, I am amazed by how closely many candidates come in the final scoring. This year was one of the closest we have ever seen with five individuals having nearly identical scores in one category all the way to the sixth-decimal-place.
The result was that some prior Top 100 participants who had left the list rejoined it, some prior Top 100 participants on the list left it, and a few never-before candidates joined the ranks of Top 100 for the very first time as 'Up-n-comers'.
The smallest difference in a key factor in an applicant's information could have made the difference: a lapsed certification, an extra training hour or a new app added to your tech-stack.
It is getting more and more difficult to stand with the best of the best, which means it requires more and more work to stay within their ranks.
So, as you head into conference season, strive to make the most out of the efforts that will keep you focused on "the right stuff" to not only be in the Top 100, but also ProAdvisor of the Year.
I look forward to seeing even more of my fellow ProAdvisors in next year's process, from not only here in 'the Americas', but from around the globe.
We want to recognize and thank each of our sponsors, whom without these awards would not be possible.
