Insightful Accountant is announcing today that Nominations Are Now Open for our 2021 ProAdvisor of the Year Awards Program. Your Nominations are accepted for consideration toward the ProAdvisor of the Year, the Top 100 ProAdvisors, and our related ProAdvisor Categorical Awards. The Nomination Period will remain Open through January 27, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. No nominations will be accepted after the close of the open nomination period.
ProAdvisors may nominate themselves or some other ProAdvisor during the open nomination period.
Nominations will be accepted for qualified QuickBooks ProAdvisors ‘worldwide’. We returned this year to recognizing two International Award Categories, ‘Americas’ (excluding the US) and ‘Global’ (representing the rest of the globe beyond the US and Americas). If you are a ProAdvisor in Canada, Mexico, Central or South America, or the Caribbean islands, you can potentially be recognized for our ‘Americas’ award. If you live in any country outside 'the Americas', or the United States, then you can potentially be recognized for our international award covering the remaining portions of the Globe.
Nominees from the United States must hold one or more current Intuit ‘U.S.’ ProAdvisor certifications to be considered for these awards. International participants, regardless of the country in which they practice, must hold Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor 'status', or the equivalent*, for their country or a country within their ‘Intuit Global Region’, or hold a formal ProAdvisor Certification from one of the countries where Intuit issues formal ProAdvisor certification.
Duplicate country certification is acceptable but cross-certification will be accepted only when a person’s application demonstrates that they predominately conduct business with clients in their non-resident country.
ProAdvisors must also have an active practice with one or more actual clients using QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop). Individuals providing staff services that do not involve actual client interaction in rendering ProAdvisor services using QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) are NOT eligible for these awards.
When completing the ‘nomination form’ no personal or professional details other than those necessary to identify both the Nominee AND Nominator are required during the initial nomination process.

The number of nominations submitted for an individual has NO impact upon the outcome of the selection process, and it doesn’t matter if a nomination comes either from the nominee or if the nominee is provided by a nominator so long as ALL required information for nomination is correct.
Nominees meeting the certification and active practice minimum qualifications will be notified no later than February 5, 2021, with details regarding the formal application and selection process. Dates related to the formal application deadline, and other essential information will be provided as part of that notification, such notification may take the form of either an email and/or published Insightful Accountant article.
The Top 100 ProAdvisors for 2021 will be published within Insightful Accountant on or about May 11, 2021. The ProAdvisor of the Year and all ProAdvisor Categorical Winners for 2021 will be announced at the Scaling New Heights Conference in Ft. Worth, Texas, June 20-23, 2021.
We also want to thank the sponsors of our 2021 ProAdvisor of the Year Awards Program. If it were not for our sponsors, these awards would not be possible. This year’s sponsors are: Canon, ADP, Gusto, Receipt Bank, ZOHO, Melio, Intuit QuickBooks, the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program, Tax Practice News, and Scaling New Heights.
*-the equivalency for each country is based upon the offerings Intuit has made available for Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Business Advisors within those countries. Insightful Accountant actively monitors such available offerings during the nomination and application process to determine candidate qualification and closely coordinates with officials at Intuit and the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program when questions arise regarding same.
