Top 100 2024 Clues: Training Opportunity at Hand

You can earn valuable Top 100 2024 training points by attending Insightful Accountant's "Future Forward," Sept. 26-27, 2023. This virtual event for QuickBooks ProAdvisors, accountants, bookkeepers and business consultants focuses on advisory, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and analytics.

"Future Forward" will offer up to eight hours of CPE-eligible sessions and as many as 400 Top 100 2024 ProAdvisor training points, over two days.

Here's a synopsis of the sessions, instructors and information about CPEs and 2024 Top 100 ProAdvisor training points. (All times shown are EST.)

Tuesday, Sept. 26:

11 a.m. — Advisory Isn't A Four-letter Word: While "advisory" often is used by the accounting industry, it seems to have little real meaning. The word is vague and too encompassing. That leads to confusion, not just among accounting professionals, but clients. Session panelists will discuss replacing "advisory" with a more relevant term that explains the professional services provided to help clients grow and prosper while reflecting their value-based billings. Presented by Seth Fineberg, Accountants Forward, and Kellie Parks, Calmwaters Cloud Accounting.

12:30 p.m. — K2's Artificial Intelligence for Accounting: Delve into the real-world application of artificial intelligence (AI) in conquering accounting and finance challenges. AI will be demystified as it is transformed from a theory to a practical tool. You will see how AI can boost your practice productivity and effectiveness by enabling you to detect fraud, identify transactional errors and elevate your financial operations. Presented by Randy Johnston, K2 Enterprises.

2 p.m. — Turnkey Back Office Solutions: Building a Microsoft Toolbox: Discover the latest Microsoft tools and related services to transform how your business communicates, uncovers new information and mines data for impactful insights. You will learn to drive efficiency and profits for your firm and clients using Microsoft applications, including Azure Cloud, Office 365, Teams and AI-powered Power BI. Presented by Pete Audenas, Remote Controller and DataHead Solutions.

3:30 p.m. — Solving the Problem, Your Key in Technology: While technology provides a wealth of opportunities, it also creates an abundance of distractions. Don't let your mission become cluttered by new technologies, AI solutions or analytic capabilities, which are this week's hype. This session will provide key strategies to help you identify the problems you must solve and remain on a problem-solving course rather than chasing every available technology. Presented by Will Hill, Will Hill Consults LLC.

Wednesday, Sept. 27

11 a.m. — Ascend with Advisory: Navigating Tech and Transformation: Examine the intersection of today's technology with advisory services while exploring tech's transformative role in those services. This session will help you better understand how tech is revolutionizing the profession and creating more opportunities than ever for advisory services. Participants will examine the latest technological tools and trends impacting the profession and learn how to engage clients and leverage tech to provide a value-added advisory in your practice. Presented by Andrew Wall, CPA4IT.

12:30 p.m. — Truth About AI, Using it in Your Practice: In this session, a small practice owner will discuss how they have implemented AI tools to gain efficiency, boost communications and improve workflow. A live demonstration of how ChatGPT can be used in your practice will be paired with other AI tech tools to increase efficiency. No matter what issues you struggle with in your practice, this class will help you identify the AI-based apps and software that can help you. Presented by Christine Gervais, the Epiphany Group Inc.

2 p.m. — Advisory Isn't A Four-letter Word (Part II) — The topic continues in a second session where actionable steps to defining "advisory" will be presented. This will include phrasing your services to achieve their proper revenue and how to deliver those services in a scalable manner. Presented by Kellie Parks, Calmwaters Cloud Accounting.

3:30 p.m. — Transforming Advisory with Real-time AI Insights: Learn how to take a proactive approach in your advisory services by transitioning from traditional methods to cutting-edge AI-driven strategies. Get acquainted with AI-driven platforms designed to enhance advisory outcomes. Learn how to strategically apply real-time AI-driven insights to provide better financial planning and guidance for your clients. Presented by Caleb Jenkins, RLJ Financial Services.
