When it comes to working with his clients, Gregg Bossen's philosophy is pretty straightforward: The founder, owner and president of Gregg Bossen, CPA, PC and QuickBooks Made Easy, believes that they should have more than just a CPA or accountant. It is about the learning experience, too.
Gregg and his team's mission is to show them how accounting can help their businesses and personal finances succeed. The true measure of success comes when that light bulb goes off for them—when they get how what his firm does matters in their success.
After graduating from Emory University in Atlanta, Gregg's foray into the accounting profession started in 1987 working in the audit department of KPMG Peat Marwick. After two years, he ventured out on his own, opening a practice dedicated to helping individuals and businesses in the growing Atlanta market.
A magnet to always finding the things that can help his clients, Gregg expanded his practice to include QuickBooks® Seminars taught around the country. Today, as an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Gregg has taught more than 3,500 seminars to 75,000-plus students.
Along with instructing new and basic users, Gregg has been personally commissioned by Intuit to instruct other CPAs during the QuickBooks® Accountant's annual seminar update. Ultimately, the experience delivers Gregg to the core of his practice–ensuring his clients are as knowledgeable as they can be to guarantee their success and financial well-being.

Our firm has been in business since 1989. We are a full service accounting firm specializing in nonprofit organizations.

What are some of your strategies/initiatives for 2022?
We are presently looking at taking on more staff to handle the rising demand in the nonprofit sector.
What are some of the biggest issues/trends impacting the accounting space today?
I would say there are two. The first is the growing options in the technology space for handling transaction data. More and more clients are making use of various payment processors, CRMs, POS, purchasing and credit card APPS. Many of these present opportunities for integration with accounting software.
The future of success for accounting firms is increasingly requiring firms to get better recommending, implementing and utilizing these systems.
Second, while demand for accounting professionals is growing, finding reliable new hires is increasingly challenging. As a result, accountants are overworked and unable to grow effectively.
What is the biggest item on your to-do list right now?
We are presently looking to hire two more staff.
What are your expectations for 2022 and beyond?
We expect to continue to grow in the nonprofit space and will be placing special emphasis on utilizing APPS to automate data entry.
What is the best piece of advice you can offer your clients today?
Look for and utilize apps for automating data entry. Move all your systems into the cloud.
What was the best advice you ever received?
Specialize. You cannot do it all. You certainly can't do it all well. Pick one area, get really good at it, and leverage partnerships to meet other needs your clients may have.
