We know there are more than 875,000 non-profit organizations in the United States with annual revenue between $100,000 and $10 million. And we know there is a shortage of accountants with specific expertise in this sector.
To address this need, Woodard and Altruist have teamed up to bring you an important business opportunity. The goal is to build a network of advisors that can help non-profit organizations improve their business practices and improve overall financial performance.
We know that accountants and bookkeepers get the best results when they build their expertise as a “trusted advisor.” This usually means specializing in an industry that you are highly interested in and building a personal expertise that sets you apart from the crowd.
In fact, one of the strongest statements an advisor can make is: “I have other non-profit clients like you that are taking steps to improve their financial performance by ….” Nothing is more convincing than the voice of experience. The Woodard/Altruist program for non-profit organizations is designed to put advisors serving this market in fast-forward.
You already may have joined the Non-Profit Advisory Network (NPAN) and have started on the path to specialization in non-profit organization services. This program is in early-stage and is expanding the opportunity to ProAdvisors in the “Woodard inner circle.”
Over the next few months, we will be inviting more ProAdvisors and general business consultants to participate in this program.
There is no cost to advisors to join NPAN. Our objective is to help advisors build a trusted relationship with non-profit organization executive directors and become an important member of the leadership team. The program features a proprietary business management process that has been proven in non-profits large and small.
Most non-profits use QuickBooks, but lack the knowledge to build out systems and processes that can streamline and all aspects of their business and at the same time improve overall financial performance.
As we all know, it takes a combination of systems and standardized business procedures to help any business make real improvements in performance. NPAN's mission is to help advisors implement systems and processes with their construction company clients.
Implementing these changes is not an over-night process. It takes months, and sometimes years, to make fundamental business changes and get full benefit. That means the advisor needs to be part of the solution over an extended period of time.
This also means a monthly charge for services and a long-term trusted advisor relationship. NPAN is all about making this a reality. This program will help advisors with packaging, pricing, promoting and delivery of services. There is nothing more rewarding than having a satisfied client and predictable revenue stream for services.
