Intuit
TurboTax Virtual Expert Network
Intuit plans to hire thousands of credentialed tax experts (CPAs, EAs and practicing attorneys) for the upcoming tax season, as TurboTax expands its do-it-yourself offering. This virtual team of tax experts will get connected directly to TurboTax users who want to get their taxes reviewed or completed with the guidance and expertise of a credentialed tax expert.
Similar to the Lyft or TaskRabbit models, with the new Intuit program, tax professionals can conveniently choose the times and hours they want to work. In other words, those tax professionals who choose to participate in the new Turbo Tax on-demand virtual platform can select as many hours as fit their schedule.
Intuit’s technology will route a tax payer’s question to an expert, and by using one-way video and unique screen sharing functionality, the expert will show and explain answers whenever the taxpayer needs help.
With this new program, your tax expertise can make lives better. The program also means you can reach even more people who need and value your assistance. You can build a trusted relationship with Intuit TurboTax customers by helping them understand their unique tax situations and by providing sound tax return advice and assistance.
If you're an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or practicing attorney with a strong tax preparation background in both federal and state tax returns, you may qualify for this program. You also need an extensive knowledge of tax laws and experience with tax preparation software. Three or more years of experience, along with being a bilingual (English/Spanish) communicator (both written and spoken), is preferred.
If this sounds like an opportunity that interests you in either a part-time or full-time capacity, visit the Intuit TurboTax Expert Network careers website.
Editor's Note: What is a "taskrabbit" anyway? Sounds like a good title for a "ProAdvisor on steroids?"
By the way, for those of you doing those last minute, last deadline tax returns over the weekend, maybe you need a taskrabbit.
