QuickBooks Online
Intuit’s QuickBooks® Online is being integrated into the University of Phoenix® School of Business’ accounting degree program to provide students with a real-world business application directly relevant to the small business environments.
University of Phoenix School of Business Executive Dean Ruth Veloria said, “By providing our students with access to Intuit’s QuickBooks Online, students will be learning accounting skills on a platform that is widely used by businesses and accounting professionals worldwide, which can help make them more marketable in today’s competitive job market.”
Jim McGinnis, Intuit’s Vice President for the Accountant & Advisor Group said, “With more than 1.7 million QuickBooks Online users worldwide, providing access to the leading online accounting software will help ensure that today’s students are prepared for a successful tomorrow.”
The University of Phoenix, School of Business will incorporate QuickBooks Online into their Accounting curriculum within both the ACC/290 (Principles of Accounting I) and ACC/291 (Principles of Accounting II) courses. These classes are part of the the fundamental core for University of Phoenix School of Business accounting students. Intuit will apparently also offer optional certification opportunities in QuickBooks Online for students completing these courses.
