Bora Bora. Say it out loud – twice. Expense reporting software leader Expensify is hosting its second eponymous conference the private island in Bora Bora.
Regarded as one of the best accounting events of 2016, ExpensiCon's 2018 event will bring together the world’s 100 most interesting leaders across the accounting and technology industries for an unforgettable summit, April 21-25, 2018.
Last year, ExpensiCon Maui featured industry rockstars from the United States, Australia and the UK, including Xero CEO Rod Drury, TSheets CEO Matt Rissell and BDO Managing Director Deb Defer. Among other events, Expensify and Xero announced a global strategic partnership, and Expensify unveiled an exclusive beta test of its integrated AI, Concierge.
“Only an experience way outside the norm can create the quality of discussion and depth of relationships we’re aiming for,” says David Barrett, Expensify’s founder and CEO. “My only regret in taking the world’s top accounting leaders ‒ all expenses paid ‒ to the finest resort in Maui last year was not thinking big enough. This time, we won’t make that mistake. The invites will be even more selective, the location even more breathtaking, the events even more extreme. We’re doubling down on everything that worked so well last time, and then taking it further.”
What do accounting leaders think? "ExpensiCon Maui was truly one of the best conferences I’ve ever been to,” says Greg LaFollete, Strategic Advisor at CPA.com. “The close-knit nature of the conference was incredibly conducive to establishing new relationships with other forward-thinkers and we are already seeing those relationships develop into important partnerships across the industry. I look forward to seeing what Expensify has in store for 2018.”
