Intuit has recently announced a new service called QB Live Expert Assisted Bookkeeping. The purpose of this service is to provide businesses with answers to their bookkeeping questions for a monthly subscription fee of $50. However, this move has understandably sparked mixed reactions within the accounting community.
Forward-thinking ProAdvisors accept that change is the constant, and are willing to adapt their service model to make this a win-win-win situation. However, the majority of initial reactions have been quite negative, with bookkeepers taking to social media to express their frustration and even threatening to abandon the QuickBooks platform, or retire altogether.
As a business owner, understanding the intricacies of accounting software can be difficult. Despite the common perception that QuickBooks Online is so user-friendly that anyone can use it, most users really do require guidance on how to effectively utilize its features. Calling Support for bookkeeping questions has proven to be a frustrating experience, as the support team is primarily focused on addressing software issues and lacks the expertise of knowledgeable bookkeepers.
This is where QB Live Expert Assisted comes in, bridging the gap between software support and expert bookkeeping assistance. By subscribing to this service, business owners can have access to qualified professionals who can provide how-to guidance for their bookkeeping tasks. Whether it's help with reconciling accounts or generating financial reports, QB Live Experts are there to answer quick one-shot questions.
The introduction of QB Live Expert Assisted Bookkeeping signifies Intuit's commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources for businesses using QuickBooks. It acknowledges that while the software itself is powerful, there is still a need for human expertise to ensure its effective utilization. With this service, Intuit aims to empower business owners and alleviate their bookkeeping concerns, ultimately helping them achieve financial success.
So, find a way to embrace QB Live Expert Assistance and take advantage of the opportunity to pivot your strategy to incorporate low-level Q&A for your clients.
