As if bugs aren't bad enough, "known bugs" seem to be even worse, because we find ourselves wondering why are they not fixed, – if they are even known? With that said, even if you haven't experienced it yet, there's a known bug that occurs when inviting new QBO users.
What can happen is that the New Invited User attempts to accept the invite through their email and get an error message that says they're already a User in the file (shown in the illustration below). Note: Cartoon-bug graphic added for emphasis only.

Know QBO Bug - Invited User
Currently, the only fix is to call Intuit and have it remove the Invited User (on the back-end of QBO). Once the error-ed user is removed, you can recreate the user Invite. But before accepting the new Invite the User will need to reset their Password.
As I said, this is the only sure fix to the error at this time.
Thank goodness errors like this don’t happen often, because we all hate bugs.
Editor's Note: Liz has asked me to update this article with alternatives to calling Intuit to reset the passwords.
To reset a QBO Password -
- Log in with current user name and password,
- Company Gear Icon,
- User Profile,
- Security,
- Password,
- EDIT
To reset a QBOA password:
- Log in with current user name and password,
- Start on your QBOA Dashboard,
- Company Gear Icon,
- Your Account,
- Edit personal information,
- Change sign in info
Of course, if you are having a hard time resetting your password Intuit will be happy to help you reset them.
