You may not be aware, but part of the perks of having an Intuit Developer account is being part of the Intuit Developer Group (IDG). And one of the perks of being a member of the IDG is signing up for email alerts about QuickBooks Online Incidents.
Here's an example of such a notification yesterday:
Intuit Developer Group
In the case of this notification, there isn't much information. It's just that there really are intermittent issues affecting QuickBooks Online.
About a half and hour later, the Intuit Developer Group issued this notification:
Intuit Developer Group
QBO API Resolution
It's still not much information – just really a notification that the incident or issues being experienced had been resolved.
Then, about one hour after the resolution, the IDG issued a notification referred to as a "Postmortem" (shown below):
Intuit Developer Group
QBO API Postmortem
No, QuickBooks Online didn't die, even if this is a postmortem report. But at least we have a description of the specific nature of the issue(s) associated with the original notification. In this case, there was a high latency issue associated with invoices, but the problem was resolved.
Obviously, Dr. Quincy, Medical Examiner, didn't write this postmortem report. But I guess a little information is better than no information at all, right?
