APP COMPARE: Business Analysis & Forecasting Tools Part 2

This article is the second in our APP COMPARE mini-series looking at forecasting and analytic Apps designed to provide business analysis and metrics typically not available within standard financial reporting. (Part One can be found here)

There are multiple Apps in this category, too many to include within a single 'App Compare' article, so each installment of this mini-series encompasses a handful of randomly selected Apps (presented in alphabetical order within each grouping), without regard to any assessment of their performance, and as with our other 'App Compare' articles, no side-by-side comparisons or rankings will be provided.

CXOSoft

While you can limit the information you import from QBO, the more information you bring into Dryrun, the more accurate your projections and what-if scenarios will be.

But you’re not limited to a single scenario, you can construct as many different simulations as you wish, then Dryrun makes it easy to compare all your scenarios to determine which ‘what-if’ situation is most likely the most advantageous path to take for business success.

Budgets are the foundation of your business finances, providing you with the information you need to know about how much revenue you need to operate, and how much capital you need to grow. While QuickBooks Online gives you some basic budgeting functionality, it lacks the sophistication needed by a growing and changing business. You will build better budgets with Dryrun.

Fractal

Fractal is an AI-powered financial assistant designed to give you key insights by connecting your QuickBooks and bank account(s) to the Fractal platform.

Once connected, Fractal will give you notifications on specific metrics you wish to track so you can stay on top of your business’ financial health. You can even use voice commands to ask questions about cash flow and your current revenue and costs, or to discuss other business metrics.

You can also use the automated budget provided by Fractal to plan your future goals or create your own business path with their downloadable Excel template that can then be uploaded to customize your Fractal ‘assistant.’

As I mentioned in the introduction of this article (and this mini-series), there are too many Apps of this category to include all of them within a single article and remain true to our editorial guidelines regarding feature length. As such, we have limited the number of Apps within this article and will do so in future installments within this mini-series. I randomly selected Apps and have presented them within this feature in alphabetical order without regard to any assessment of their performance, and with no side-by-side comparison or ranking.
