Intuit has apparently 'withdrawn' this maintenance release, details are sketchy. I mentioned at the time of publication of this article that the release kept appearing and disappearing from the update website. More details to follow as soon as we have them.

As I mentioned at the start of this article, the new release is available for 'manual' download from the support website; it probably will be released to automatic update within a week to 10 days (if it goes according to normal procedures. So the question is should you update?
I always recommend people wait, Intuit has been known to release and update and withdraw it due to some discovered bug within days of release. In fact more than once today the download site failed to display Release 7 as I kept checking back for additional details, then within 20 minutes or so, Release 7 was back on the webpage.
Generally I believe that it is a good idea to wait unless you are using R6 and have one of the major bugs noted (above) which R7 is intended to fix. For example (and this is just one such example), if you can't use a custom field in a list type that is critical to your work routine, you probably want to go ahead and update to Release 7.
Just remember to make a back-up of your data prior to updating to Release 7, that way if you discover some issue within hours or a day or so of updating, you can roll back without too much in the way of data loss, or re-entry.
