PrintBoss Online for QuickBooks Online

For years, PrintBoss has offered QuickBooks users a desktop-based solution that allowed you to print checks on blank check stock.

If you're wondering why you might want to do that, just think of the tremendous savings buying only one set of blank stock affords over the cost of preprinted checks for each of your various bank accounts.

Now, PrintBoss has gone "online" with a solution that's perfect for QuickBooks Online users, and you'll find it at the Intuit App Center.

By the way folks, I'm calling this new app PBO for QBO.

It’s easy to connect PrintBoss Online (PBO) with QuickBooks Online. Once you've made the connection, simply log in to PBO to import bills from QBO that are set to be paid with checks. PBO matches those incoming bills to the correct bank account information within the app.

After the import from QBO is finalized, you can authorize the checks, if you have set up and optional workflow, you can generate the checks to be printed and print your checks. Simple, and flexible is how I view the process.

Once you've printed your checks using PBO, the app updates QBO with your check print information so that your financial records are complete.

Got multiple bank accounts in your QBO file? No problem, you can handle as many different bank accounts as you have – all with one blank check stock. Just set your check numbers for each account in PBO and it automatically updates QBO to keep the numbers correct.

But what about different QuickBooks Online Company files? Well, PrintBoss Online can handle that, too. You can actually manage all your different QBO Company file related bank accounts within PBO by switching between the data-sets and bank accounts with ease.

PrintBoss Online even gives you the ability to create a check workflow that allows for check authorization before you print.

Need to restrict employees as to which bank accounts they can process checks for? You can’t do that in QBO, too. But with PBO, you can manage user rights and set which users cannot only access which bank accounts, but print checks upon accounts.

Got those old checks from that other accounting software you were using before you changed to QuickBooks Online?

You can configure PrintBoss Online to handle top, middle or even bottom checks on the check stock or blank print page.

I know what you're thinking – you switched to QBO so you could be on the go. Get this – PBO goes with you, because you can actually print checks from anywhere with its mobile interface.

As if all of this isn’t enough, PrintBoss Online soon will offer the ability to generate Positive Pay files according to bank specifications and also generate ACH NACHA files.

PBO is offering a 15-day free trial, which you can sign up for from the Intuit App Center. Just click this link, which takes to its app page at the IAC.
