TSheets has been working to bring new features to their users, some features are currently rolling out and others are due to arrive in early 2016. Here are a few of the offerings your 'favorite timekeeping App' has or is about to put at your fingertips.
Scheduling - TSheets currently has some limited scheduling capabilities but early in 2016 they will release a fully functioning, robust scheduling platform that’s straightforward and intuitive.
You will be able to see who’s working at a glance (in real time–so you’ll always know who’s available to take a job), schedule employees by job or shift, and drag and drop time slots for scheduling on the go!
If you absolutely can't wait for the product enhancement, then consider 'Beta testing' if you are a current TSheets user.
Manual Breaks - Early in 2016 TSheets will roll-out a companion to their "Auto-Deduct Lunch Breaks" feature, "Manual Breaks" that will give employees the ability to start and end pair or unpaid breaks by hitting a 'Break Button' on their time clocks. The Manual Breaks feature will have full customization from break duration to reminders whether the break is paid or not paid. When an employee starts their 'Break' the mobile app will issue them a reminder a few minutes before their break is scheduled to come to an end. Managers will be able to view who is 'on break' from their Who's Working dashboard.
Affordable Care Act ALE Report - Determining whether or not your business qualifies as an Applicable Large Employer (ALE), under the Affordable Care Act, better known as ObamaCare, is the first step in understanding whether the ACA applies to your business. You're required to determine your ALE status each year at the end of the year; the results (of whether or not you're an ALE) will then apply to the following year.
Put simply, a company is an ALE if it employs 50 or more full-time employees or full-time employee equivalents (FTEs),but determining who qualifies as a FTE is harder.
TSheets will be rolling out an Affordable Care Act ALE Report that reflects if your employees meet the FTE requirement for ALE reporting purposes. You will be able to access this report from your TSheets reporting dashboard.
Create Your Own Custom Fields - Early in 2016 you will have the ability to create your own custom fields to track any categories that don't already exist in TSheets. Custom Fields allow you to track all the details you want, assign specific custom fields to other custom field items or job codes, choose to have the custom fields as required or not-required on time entries, and determine if each field will be free-form-text, or selected from a customized drop-down menu.
We are sure you will agree, these sound like some really great new features to enhance your TSheets timekeeping capabilities, be on the look out for them early in 2016.
