He will have to grow out his hair and perfect the wispy comb-over if he is going to play the role of 'The Donald" at Scaling New Heights, but Jim Savage, noted Guru in E-commerce integration with QuickBooks, will host the Consult-A-Thon being held at the June conference.
The Consult-a-thon will take place over the entire 4 days of the conference. It is designed for consultants who have already achieved their Pro Advisor qualifications and now are looking to take their consulting business to the next level. This entirely new track will be a hands-on experience, not just product demos and Powerpoint decks.
With well over 1000 ProAdvisors in attendance in June, those "best-of-the-best, cream of the crop” advisors who want to help their customers with large scale projects that encompass multiple technical areas will want to register early, because the track is also first come, first admitted.
During the sessions, Jim and assisting faculty will be teaching best practices in project management methodologies and demonstrating how to incorporate diverse systems and integrate them together. If ever you wanted to know how to turn technical chaos into an orderly methodology, this track is perfect for you!
Over the course of the track, participants will be assigned to a working project team, and each team member will be given the opportunity to act as a project manager during one of the sessions. Working in teams of 10, each session will incorporate a different challenge, such as incorporating a CRM, setting up a website or handling a complex business problem. Sponsors from the Conference will be involved in many sessions, providing a brief overview of their product. Participants will then take that knowledge and work through their assigned task with their project team. You can bet that team members will be harping about any slackers on their team.
This promises to be an exciting track, and is being offered for the very first time anywhere, at June's Scaling New Heights. If you are interested in increasing your value to your customers, then make sure you get your registration in early as this track is sure to fill up quickly! Then do the work and hope that when the Boardroom comes around, you don't hear those awful words, "You're Fired!"
