We wanted to give you some preliminary results regarding the readership survey we launched this past Monday about recent Intuit announcements. We continue to accept survey submissions.
- A majority of readers participating identified themselves as Certified ProAdvisors, followed closely by Bookkeepers and Accountants. Because survey participants could mark more than one of these responses if they held more than one role, numeric values have not been expressed within these preliminary results.
- A majority of readers participating told us they were "neutral on the product, that they didn't know enough about it yet" when ask what they thought about the 'software functionality' aspects of Intuit's recently announced Intuit Enterprise Suite; however, the second largest response to the question came in the form "users would rather have the flexibility to pick the Intuit products they need."
- When ask what they thought about Intuit's internal "customer success managers" handling every aspect of Intuit Enterprise Suite (as described in the information Intuit has released thus far) and how that might impact their own practices, the number one answer by readers (49.18%) was "Intuit has 'gone off the deep end' thinking ProAdvisors will give up their clients for $1500." The second highest answer, based again on preliminary data, (27%) was, "I really haven't considered the impact because I won't be recommending it till I actually can see it."
- Based on preliminary results to date, when asked what they thought about Intuit's recent "Tax Breakup Advertising", the clear majority (83.6%) of respondents told us, "this is another example of Intuit waging war against the very people who have kept them in business, accountants and tax preparers."
Once again, these are preliminary results and the survey remains open. If you haven't submitted your responses to this survey, Insightful Accountant would encourage to do so.
