I am pleased to announce the addition of Laura Madeira to our growing list of contributors. When we first decided to launch Intuitive Accountant as THE technical news and information source for ProAdvisors, Accountants, Bookkeepers and SMB Advisors, Laura was one of the Top Influencers we identified early on who we wanted associated with Intuitive Accountant. Her qualifications and resume speak for themselves. I had the pleasure of meeting her at the 2013 Intuit VIP Summit and could not be happier that she will be part of the Intuitive Accountant team.
Laura Madeira is the owner of ACS, Inc., a software sales and consulting firm located in the greater Dallas, Texas, area. For more than 25 years, Laura has helped companies of all sizes and industries become more successful by automating their internal accounting processes and improving their overall business financial and management reporting.
Laura has long been associated with Intuit (developers of QuickBooks and other software) and is one of the original members of the elite Intuit Trainer/Writer Network (TWN). As a member of this network, each year she creates for Intuit the “What’s New for QuickBooks” presentation and technical documentation. As a member of the TWN she presents this topic and others each year to thousands of business owners and accounting professionals.
She was also a founding member of the Intuit Customer Advisory Council and a recent member of the Intuit Solution Provider Council. She is Advanced QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, QuickBooks Enterprise and Point of Sale Certified, and is also a Sage Certified Consultant representing Sage 100 Contractor (formerly Master Builder).
Laura is a recognized accounting software expert and the author of QuickBooks In Depth, an 800+ page reference and training guide. She is also the author of QuickBooks Solutions Guide, QuickBooks Essentials: For All QuickBooks Users, self-paced video instruction, and co-author of QuickBooks on Demand - all offered by QUE Publishing.
Laura earned her accounting degree from Florida Atlantic University. Her favorite vacation is going camping and truly getting away from all of the electronics she writes and teaches about. When Laura is not writing, she enjoys art, photography and reading a good book or two!
