Fine Wine and QuickBooks
Hi, my name is Judy. I am the CEO of a QuickBooks training and support company. I am guessing you are questioning what a glass of fine wine and QuickBooks have in common. Well, I have be tasked with writing an article for one of my NAN Institute projects. If you know me … that is not one of my strong suites, but I guess you could say it is pushing me out of my comfort zone. Just as Joe planned.
Some of you definitely know I can talk and that would be no problem, be gentle...On with my story.
Here I sit lounging by a fireplace with a glass of fine wine (Really? I live in South Florida. I would have to put the air conditioning unit down to 60 degrees and then I could light a fire in the fireplace, if I had one.) Well anyway… I have the glass of wine.
Tonight I am reflecting on my work day. This day was a normal support day, helping clients with questions, working with staff to get computing tasks completed and a special client that needed my help deciding what direction to take his company. Should he use the QBO product, a hosted QuickBooks Premier product, a Point of Sale system or a combination of both? We decided that since he has multiple sites, inventory at each site and he needs to be located in a different state during business operations overseeing all, that we would implement QBO and a cloud POS system. Done. On to researching for the perfect solution.
Now here is the connection to QuickBooks and fine wine.
As I am sitting here (wishing I had a fireplace) I know that my company’s data files are in a 'safe' place. You see, I moved my entire operation to the cloud using Office 365 and QuickBooks Online. You question, 'What about the data on your server?’ I have that covered also. I do a full image of my Server and that is copied to a secure offsite storage site.
So you see, I can sit here with my fine wine and feel the comfort of knowing all is well with my business. Now it is time to relax and enjoy home.

I agree, with all the stuff Joe puts the NAN Institute participants through, you deserve a 2nd glass. (Murph)
