Are you ready? Are you packed?
I’ve tried on shorts, shirts, bought a new swimsuit and oh yes… prepped for teaching my first Scaling New Heights classes. I am Florida ready!
I even checked in with Hector Garcia asking about the weather. It’s like Scaling New Heights came to him this year since his practice is based in the area.
Did you hear this is the largest SNH attendee year ever? WOW !
I totally get why so many ProAdvisors seek out this conference, it has a powerful effect.
For me Scaling New Heights broadens who I am and how I see my career. In past years it has empowered me to step out and believe that I too can better the lives of small business and still have a work~life balance.
But one of the biggest Scaling New Heights differences is the connections this conference offers with like-minded people whom inspire me and hold my goals accountable.
It’s like Robin Williams’ voice is in my head saying “gotta be more, gotta do more” from the movie (Dead Poets Society). I mean isn’t that the reason we all go? To move forward from the place we are in?
Within our firm Accounting Lifeline located in Oklahoma, Ann Lee and I pick a Scaling New Heights goal for the year. For example this year our goal is defining our niche market.
We will be focusing most of our classes around this concept and goal. For us taking the same courses keeps us focused and allows us to make these courses real by spending time at lunch or dinner talking about how a course’s content and objectives can impact our firm. Sometimes just one take away from a class can have a big impact for you or your firm.
I understand not everyone has a "firm buddy" going with them, but I encourage you to look around at your classes and make it a point to talk with a classmate about the content to help increase your take away value from that course.
So, as far as Scaling New Heights 2017 is concerned, I’m stoked, I’m ready, I even have butterflies! But mostly I can only image the take away from these courses, because the Woodard team always makes this AN EXPERIENCE!
If you are heading out to Orlando for Scaling New Heights, please post a comment (below) and let all of our readers know what you think about this tremendous conference.
