I go to several (accounting and related technologies) conferences a year, and by far the one that every year delivers the most “bang” is the "Scaling New Heights®" conference. One of the best things about this conference is that during the breakout sessions, there are six to nine different classes being taught simultaneously.
And depending on the track that you are following, there is a breakout session just for you.
This year, these tracks are whimsically called: “Yetis I Face,” based on the entire theme of the conference “Face the Yeti.”
Fun Fact: “Yeti” is a metaphor to the ultimate challenge we face as we climb the top mountain of knowledge, aka, "scale new heights," and a play on words for the Disney's Animal Kingdom’s Expedition Everest ride – given that the conference is at a Disney Property: Coronado Springs.
One of the “Yetis” we face is "Finding and Retaining the Right Clients" and, as if finding new clients isn’t hard enough, finding the “right” ones is almost an art form, or is it?
At "Scaling New Heights," In June 2017 you will be able attend the following sessions just for this track:
- Accountant-Friendly Selling
- Building a Powerful Presentation
- Content Marketing for ProAdvisors: Beyond Social Media *
- Creating a Comprehensive Marketing Plan
- How to Communicate the Value of Outsourced Bookkeeping and Advisory Services
- How to Find the Niche that will Make you Rich
- LinkedIn and Twitter: the How-To’s
- Making & Editing Videos with Camtasia and Publishing on YouTube *
- Fundamentals on How to Grow Your Practice Using Facebook
- Leveraging the Next Generation of Social Media
- Online Marketing: Implementing and Managing Your Plan
- Online Marketing: Strategies and Components
- Personal and Professional Branding
- Revolving Door: Who is Coming to Your Front Door & How to Show Them the Backdoor
- Strategies for the Intuit-Centric Professional
- The Power of Win-Win
I will be teaching two of those sessions this year:
Content Marketing – This session will be focused on understanding the key components of a marketing strategy; such as messaging and positioning. We'll also be discussing marketing tactics such as blogging, social media, and videos within the context of building and creating a fan-base with value-added content. You'll walk away energized to build a content-based marketing strategy that will help you target the right new clients.
YouTube Videos – This session will have two major areas of focus. Primarily, you will see the process of recording a screen-share/web-cam style video; with the necessary edits and publishing it into YouTube. The second focus will be on using the data analytics tools within YouTube to understand the performance of your posted videos and use those videos to engage with your audience. You will walk out of this session excited to take on YouTube as one of your primary conduits for finding the new right clients you want.
I started my practice nine years ago, and I have experimented with all sorts of marketing strategies and tactics, and nothing has been as effective as both content marketing and YouTube videos, which is why I'm particularly excited about being able to share this with my colleagues…
You can find more details about each of the sessions in a downloadable document located here: Download Course Descriptions
