New Find-a-ProAdvisor Website
ProAdvisors are the beneficiary of changes to the Find-a-ProAdvisor website.
QuickBooks ProAdvisors are the beneficiaries of recent changes to the Find-a-ProAdvisor website. These changes are intended to improve and simplify the searches by QuickBooks users in need of expert assistance from a ProAdvisor. As a result of the changes, ProAdvisors could see increased leads and possibly new clients.
Intuit has simplified the search experience for QuickBooks users seeking a ProAdvisor. As part of the changes Intuit eliminated the “Help Me Choose” and “Send Requests” features. Users of the new website follow a simple four-step process:
- Enter their zip code and click on search
- Review search results and contact ProAdvisors immediately – either by clicking the ProAdvisor’s email address in the search results screen, or by calling them directly
- Users have the option to review ProAdvisors’ profiles to learn more about them
- Users can also choose to refine their search results by selecting the products and/or industries which ProAdvisors serve.
While the appearance and ease of use have changed for the Find-a-ProAdvisor Website, the algorithm that is used to rank ProAdvisors (for the default sort order) has NOT changed. The algorithm uses a point system composed of several key factors to determine rankings; these factors include: Advanced certification, current-year certification, total number of certifications, QuickBooks Enterprise certification, QuickBooks Point of Sale certification, ratings, photo in profile, and distance from the city specified by the person performing the search. When a site visitor submits a query, all of these factors have a point value, which determines how the results are displayed.
Intuit is fully aware that the higher the traffic to the Find-a-ProAdvisor website, the higher the number of connections between QuickBooks users and ProAdvisors. Intuit reports that during the 12 month period ending in June, 2013, over 550,000 visitors used the Find-a-ProAdvisor website. Intuit product and support teams are working to keep growing the amount of traffic to ProAdvisor profiles resulting in more leads.
So if you haven't checked out the new site, I suggest you give it a try.
